WAC The Wrightwood Arts Center is seeking candidates for the position of resource coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to work for a small arts organization to continue to build the visibility, reach, and value of the arts to individuals and the community. Working with and reporting to the Wrightwood Arts Center’s board of directors, this position will use experience and creativity to influence the organization’s direction and scope.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates well with the board and volunteers;
- Implements all aspects of special events, i.e., WAC Arts & Wine Festival, and related data with oversight of the board:
- Achieves or exceeds event related goals;
- Identifies and works with board to resolve operational issues;
- Works with volunteer groups to recruit, train & oversee volunteers in a motivating way;
- Maintains county & other health and safety standards at WAC events;
- Generates festival volunteer, sponsor, and financial reports using a spreadsheet; and
- Leads using the organizations core values.
Qualifications:
- Experience with successful event coordination;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in sponsor recruitment/follow up;
- Evidence of excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Experience with an arts organization or in the arts field;
- Familiarity with the Tri-Community and its demographics; and
- Excellent technical skills, (e.g. Word, spreadsheets, quick books, social media platforms, google docs, etc.).
Work Hours & Schedule:
This is a part-time, flexible position and offers the applicant the opportunity to work from home and in the community. The budgeted position allows for 20 hours per week for 6 months with the need for flexibility as a project demands.
