Gain first-hand experience with a local non-profit arts organization through a volunteer internship with the Wrightwood Arts Center throughout the year. The culture of art is growing in the Tri-Community, and interns benefit from the array of opportunities this presents. With help and supervision, they will work on developing arts events, including our annual festival, write articles for the WAC newsletter, draft press releases, and promote local arts through social media and other methods. Interns also participate in additional educational components as they arise.

To be eligible to participate, students must:

• Be currently enrolled in high school, a community college, four-year college or university program.

• Either reside in Wrightwood, the High Desert, or Inland Empire. Proof of residency and enrollment are required to verify eligibility.

All students regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability who meet the above criteria are eligible to apply to participate in the Wrightwood Arts Center Internship Program. Candidates can be sought from all areas of study and are not required to have demonstrated a previous commitment to the arts, although it may be helpful.

Students apply directly to the arts organization providing this short application and answering the essay questions included. After completing these materials, submit them by email to wrightwoodarts@gmail.com or by mail to: Wrightwood Arts Center, PO Box 1196, Wrightwood, CA 92397.
