November 18th, 3pm (Sunday) | Meet and Greet Artist Barbara Whitten
Barbara Whitten is hanging a show in the Wrightwood Community Center on the 15th and it will be up for the months of November and December. Barbara’s interest in arts and crafts goes back to her childhood in Sherman Oaks. It wasn’t until ‘post-motherhood’ years, living in Wrightwood, that she found both time and inspiration to develop her love for artistic expression in many forms. From crocheted blankets to beading, from painting to polymer clay-based work, Barbara’s many-dimensional art is always full of vibrant color. Barbara’s interest in creating beaded jewelry began many years ago when she gave her daughter a beading loom kit for Christmas. After creating a few simple bracelets, Barbara began experimenting with various designs and colors in her art. Her work now includes bracelets, necklaces, pins, and crystal window art. In recent years, she ventured into other forms of expression, including both ‘pouring’ and ‘mallet’ styles of painting, paper bowls made from recycled paper pulp, and clay tile art. From delicate crystal bracelets to bold beaded necklaces and earrings, Barbara’s jewelry is always in demand. With the addition of various styles of paintings, clay-based wall art, and colorful display bowls, her eclectic art offers something for every taste.

November 18, 4pm – 7pm (Sunday) | Paradise Camp Fire Relief Fundraiser ft. Gayle & Company and the Universal Dudes
Join your Wrightwood neighbors in supporting those affected by the devastating northern CA incident at the Paradise Camp Fire Relief Fundraiser at the Wrightwood Community building. $20 per person donation includes food, one beer or wine and music by Gayle & Company and the Universal Dudes. FREE ENTRY FOR FIREFIGHTERS! Donations will be distributed to Butte County Schools Fire Fund for student supplies and to the Butte County SPCA. Guests choose organization, additional donation monies welcome. We often call Wrightwood our own little paradise and hold it close in our hearts. Sadly some of our towns’ family members and those living in the Paradise CA community lost everything in the still uncontained fire. Can we share the same compassion shown to us during and after the Blue Cut fire? Let’s open our hands and give from our hearts!

November 23rd, 5pm – 7pm (Friday) | The Annual WAC Student Art Show
The Wrightwood Arts Center will host its annual Student Art Show in conjunction with Mountain Holiday Celebration.
